Our psychiatrist, Dr Gundabawady is highly trained and qualified within his field of specialty, to deliver therapies best effective in enabling greater outcomes for his patients.
Our clinic is centrally located at 147 Kings Road, with onsite parking and wheelchair access.
Upon arriving to or calling our clinic, you will be greeted by our reception staff who are welcoming and professional.
They are more than happy to answer any of your questions or offer advice where ever appropriate. Accessing the right treatment can be a confusing process as different practitioners have different expertise, and sometimes their roles overlap. Dr Anand Gundabawady is a general adult psychiatrist. He completed his Psychiatry training in Oxford, UK, where he gained his Membership of the Royal College of psychiatrists (MRCPsych). He is also a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP). He has done a Masters of Medicine in Pain Management from Sydney University and his Masters of Occupational Medicine from Curtin University.
Prior to starting in private practice Dr Gundabawady worked at The Townsville General Hospital. He was the Clinical Director of the Trauma Recovery Centre at the Mater Hospital in Townsville which ran a PTSD Program. He is a member and deputy chair of the General & Composite Medical Assessment Tribunal of the Workers Compensation Regulator, and an approved medical specialist and is also on the medical advisory panel for independent assessments through WorkCover QLD.
Dr Gundabawady has special interests in treating post-traumatic stress disorder, mood and anxiety disorders and assisting Military Personnel and Veterans with their mental health.
